Seiko quartz 8223

Got this little beauty from local antique shop for £30. Waited two days for battery to arrive and it's all good.

Second hand hitting each marker perfectly. It still has its original box, guarantee manual, instructions manual & original receipt, someone paid £30 in 1983 which is around £100 today. It even had front and back stickers (front removed but in box, oval sticker on case back had gone yellow)

Such a comfortable watch to wear.

It's a keeper ☺️

Probably let one of my daughter's rock this.

Looks to be in fantastic condition. For that kind of money it's a complete no-brainer. We'll chosen, sir!

Thanks 2manywatches, two scratches on the plexiglass apart from that it's good for a 40yr old watch.

If the crystal is plexiglass/acrylic, you can polish out the scratches with Polywatch (or if your frugal, toothpaste).

Great find, and you just can't get that kind of quality for £100 on the high street anymore.

·

Amazing Find. The bracelet is great.

Excellent find! Glad you had better luck than me, I found a 1975 Seiko Quartz for the same price which was a non-runnner. Turned out a battery had leaked and completely fried the movement 😕

·

It’s indeed a cool watch. I’m thinking to get one to myself.

Lovely watch, seiko had much better QC back then and nearly all quartz watches hit the markers, the movements were overbought and of high quality. Enjoy 👍

Thanks, the bracelet I love, one of the main reasons for buying. A bit like speedy but a lot thinner😁
