I bought a quartz one, used, on the cheap, to see what it was all about and I am happy I did. I prefer the dials on the quartz models without the waffle pattern. More importantly though the whole watch really is very nice. I remain impressed with it’s bracelet and how they pack it with half links to get a good fit even with the butterfly clasp, how those flat links handle light so cool, and just how slick it all looks. For the money the PRX, quartz or automatic, is really a good pick.
Sometimes I may wake up on the first and feel like setting a bunch of them while I have my morning coffee. Sometimes I’ll just wait until I want to wear them individually.
Once I got my Tudor on-the-fly was an instant hit with me. The other dozen or so watches I wear on bracelets do not have that feature. It’s a great feature and Tudor has a great version. I think that breaking the $2k price point should absolutely have a similar feature standard.
That being said, not having this feature isn’t a big problem. I’ve a few watches with the dreaded butterfly clasp that I have fitting fine enough and standard adjustments work fine enough.
Some ten years back I moved away from Washington DC where I drank all the National Bohemian I could find. As a DC chef memories of drinking them late nights at the Red Derby or the Raven are some of my favorite moments of my adult life. Now I’m in the Bay Area, and while we do have some great beers I miss the Natty Bohs, and before that in the Philly area the Yuengling. Cheers to you and your beautiful cans, and of course that watch.
Wait l, looking at your profile you’re in DE? I grew up in Newark, worked for years in Wilmington too.
