Incredible Find! Vintage Hamilton from the 1960s!

Just picked up the mail this morning and had a pleasant surprise. It arrived early. Another great vintage find! Ran across this early 1960s Hamilton in good working order for a great price and couldn't resist it! It is one of the automatic 10K R.G.P. D&A watches.

Hey @Aurelian, did I win Watch Crunch for the day for this one, too? 馃ぃ

It wears thin and light doesn't it? I may have to buy another Hamilton. Great find.

Yes, it does! I have it on right now and barely notice I am wearing it. I am really liking these smaller vintage watches I have been adding recently. Sort of stepping out on my digital loves. 馃ぃ

The SWISS marking at the bottom probably means post 1966.聽

Is that bracelet a period expansion one?

Thanks for the information. I am still learning about vintage watches. I am not sure if it is a period bracelet, but I think it might be because it is marked U.S.A. on the back of each section.

This is really, really cool. Congrats on the addition.聽

What are the dimensions and lug width?

What are the dimensions and lug width?

I believe it is 33mm with 18mm lug width.

Asking for a friend: 聽 what is the comparable cost of this piece? 聽Seiko 5 GMT? 聽2 Seiko 5 GMTs?

Will you need to service it? 聽How often will you wear it? 聽1/week 3/month?

Actually less than a Seiko 5 GMT. Much less. I will need to have it serviced. It was running when I bought it, but it had not been serviced by the seller. It was from an estate sale. It will probably see my wrist a few times per month.

I was recently at a vintage store in Cambridge mass, found a few vintage Hamilton's but told myself no because of servicing. Was wondering how you go about that.

It's really easy. Just don't think about the servicing while you are buying the watch and then gasp when you realize you have done it again! 馃ぃ

Oh, you meant the servicing. I am still looking for someone local to do servicing and repair work for me. I have someone recommended to me that I ship watches for servicing and repair.
