WatchCrunch Photograph Club: Your weekly photography challenge!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope all the UKers are enjoying the long weekend, everyone at Windup is having an awesome time and the rest of the WC fam are having a chilled Sunday.

Thank you to @FlatteryCamp for setting last weeks challenge theme of "On the move".

His winner will be in Tuesdays newsletter and the runners up for last week are, in no particular order...

And I had to include this cool photo from @AnalogExplorer (I'm sure there is a watch hidden under those layers somewhere)...

Thank you to everyone who joined in!

This week @WatchBee has kindly agreed to be our guest theme setter and judge, so check out the comments below for his choice for this week.

Notes for Newcomers:

If you are new to this thread and enjoy photography then feel free to post your pictures! We run a fresh photography thread each week, starting on the Sunday, and have a guest judge set the theme and pick winners each week. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you wish with a connection to that weeks theme. The runners up will be mentioned in the following weeks thread and the winner gets a mention and their winning photo in the weekly newsletter.

Winners also get an exclusive 'Winners Badge' for their WC profile!

If anyone wants adding to the tagging list let me know👍You certainly don't need to be on the list to post in the thread, it just helps people see the weekly post when its put up.

Happy snapping!

Thanks @Deeperblue for asking me to set this one.

The theme this week is inspired by (a) my consistent failure to take a photo without reflections in the dial; and (b) by @Droptuned83’s profile photo (which was one of his WRUW photos):

Image

I’ll call it “Light in the Crystal” - for photos when you’ve got interesting light or reflections in the dial (rather than unwanted ones as I have!).

·

And I just noticed the Bees above - love it! 🐝

·

My initial submission has to be this one!

And then this one.

One intentionally created sun light reflection from a few weeks ago 🙂

I'll add this though not sure if it really fits. My son bumped the tripod but I like how it looked so I kept the photo.

Very new to the world of photography so lots to learn, but a few shots for an upcoming review I thought were cool 🙂

Some of us just fiddle on our phones. Some of you are proper photographers.

Thought I would see if I could do something with watch from wife and painting of her… difficult. Still. iPhone is lighter to hold than my old Canon 35mm. XD

Thankyou for the compliment @WatchBee I am honoured.👍

Here's another picture , it has a little bit of reflection to qualify, but it's got Poppy in it so it's a winner in my eyes for that reason alone 😂

😁

Oldie but a goodie, playing with reflections while testing some equipment.

·

Also please add me @Deeperblue

Here’s a photo where I placed my watch in a glass and used the reflection from a flash to highlight the "Geneva stripes” on the dial - which can disppear under certain light conditions.
