Welcome to this week's photography club thread!
Everyone is welcome! So just jump right in!
Last weeks theme was: "My simple pleasures -- my watch and my drink", which was kindly set by @hakki501. His chosen runners up are, in no particular order:
Well done everyone! Just utterly gorgeous photographs!
The chosen winner will be in Tuesdays newsletter as usual.
This weeks theme setter is @DeepCmonkey, so check out the comments for his choice for this week...
Notes for Newcomers:
If you are new to this thread and enjoy photography then feel free to post your pictures! We run a fresh photography thread each week, starting on the Sunday, and have a guest judge set the theme and pick winners each week. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you wish with a connection to that weeks theme. The runners up will be mentioned in the following weeks thread and the winner gets a mention and their winning photo in the weekly newsletter.
Winners also get an exclusive 'Winners Badge' for their WC profile!
Thanks @Deeperblue for the opertunity to be this week's guest judge. Some great photos in last one👌
I racked my brain to come up with a theme for this week's contest and I have to say I am more nervous about setting the challenge than I would be entering a photo in the weekly contest !!
The theme for this week's challenge is "flora and fauna"
let's see your watch with some plant or wildlife or a combination of both, the title is open to interpretation and creativity is welcome.
I will get the ball rolling with a few photos. I am by no means a pro, the camera I use is my phone which is a Samsung S21 Ultra and I use Photoshop Express (free on the play store) to edit my photos.
Looking forward to seeing all the amazing entries , have a great week Crunchers 👍

Gosh a high standard has been set!
Is the lizard a pet or wildlife???
Do killer rabbits and vivisected bears count as fauna?
Vegetation randomly in the blurred background count for flora?
Fauna?? 😁
Flora from the garden last year...

Absolutely on both counts 👍😊
Gosh a high standard has been set!

Genuine wildlife, the Gecko 🦎was a very willing model 😊
Great photos from the last challenge, as always.
I live in a place where spring has not yet sprung, so there is no outdoor flora to be found, but our home is filled with indoor plants. Hopefully these will be considered as fitting the theme.
First, my Omega X-33 Skywalker with "Basil", a Venetian beaded glass parrot (which had been a lamp at one point) representing the fauna (I know it's a stretch), and a small potted pepperomia plant as the flora.
Second, my Cellini Prince with a pothos as the flora.
And lastly my Burnt Orage Zelos Spearfish hanging on a cactus in my bedroom.
Hope it is okay that the Flora is not in/the focus 😄
Thanks for the runners up place!
goes to examine houseplants, and wonders if robot parrots count for fauna. They do in this house…
Looking through the photos I have handy.
May I ask what the watch is?
Looks very cool!
@Deeperblue It‘s from a company called Aark Collective from Australia. The watch is called timeless chrome. It was the last quartz watch i bought around 10 years ago.
