Well done guys! Winner (or rather 'winners' this week!) will be in Tuesdays Newsletter.

This weeks theme setter is @TheSharperTheBetter, so check out the comments below for his choice.....

Notes for Newcomers:

If you are new to this thread and enjoy photography then feel free to post your pictures! We run a fresh photography thread each week, starting on the Sunday, and have a guest judge set the theme and pick winners each week. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you wish with a connection to that weeks theme. The runners up will be mentioned in the following weeks thread and the winner gets a mention and their winning photo in the weekly newsletter.

WC admin are also working on creating an exclusive 'Winners Badge' for winners WC profile!

Good luck and have fun everyone!

Thanks @Deeperblue for the invite! And thanks @BigIona for the finalist run.

I have decided that this weeks theme (which I’m surprised hasn’t been chosen yet) will be:

Furry/Fishy/Freaky/Feathered Friends! Get a shot with that pet of yours but heres the catch: only the watch and your pet, NO humans in the picture. And none of those lazy poop shots a la @HotWatchChick69. And bonus points if the time displayed is symmetrical (aka 10:10, 1:50, 7:23, make it balanced).

Go and get creative capturing those cute cuddly critters!

This is my Nuggety Butt, aka Monkey, aka Nod, full name: The Mr. Coppernicus Nemo O’ Dojo Ebbington. He’s possibly a Beagle Dachshund mix, but he’s 100% good boy. He takes lazy Sundays very seriously. He is modeling the Islander Penn, on a Vario Harris Tweed strap.

Cute and cuddly yes, but disqualified for failing to obey rule #2 NO humans in the picture.

My favorite photo of her, though, is this one:

We got these 2 dogs from the same litter...

Image

And, these 2 were chosen, because they seemed the most bonded with one another - one was the runt of the litter, and the other was the biggest in the litter!

This is going to be a fun one! A few already on the camera roll to start off!

Love them all, but they all fail rule #295: NO humans in the picture.

·

Closest thing I have to a pet probably is my watches.

I know. But it was an excuse to show off photos of my fur baby. 🤣

Mini Schnauzers? 😍😍😍

They’re perfect… except for all the eff’ing barking! Like, I get it, dogs co-evolved with Homo sapiens, and what they added to the symbiotic relationship was an early warning system for approaching danger, but goddammit, that squirrel is not going to rob our house!

OMG! That is the cutest dog ever!

  • Damn this was hard, the hardest watch photo-thingy I've ever done. I've stood in the pouring rain at night holding a sandwich, got strange looks for walking round a supermarket with 3 random cuddly toys in it oh and the dressing up, but they're nothing compared to this.

Now in our house we've got no cutey doggy and the kitty cat has decamped to pastures new(damned owners moved), so I've had to resort to the aquatic world. What could be easier, watch, aquarium, fish job done. Enter stage left

Image

Barry the (reluctant) bristlenose, now he's a bit shy but comes out for his favourite food a chunk of courgette, or so I thought. And for the star of the show I'll give him my bestist watch

Image

24hours later, all I've got to show for my efforts is a kribensis, ok next watch newmark 71,nada. Ok Barry is not into Swiss or retro remakes, plan C.

Image

Let's try Japanese,and a bit of persuasion..

Image

Hours n hours of waiting, then a flash of gold...

Image

Bingo ....Barry the Bristlenose (and a seiko fanboy)

One happy photographer (and I could the frying pan away). Now you try getting an auto watch to keep still when having to place it. Luring a camera shy animal to perform on camera. They say never work with animals and children, and they're right. Those crews deserve a medal when making films and documentaries. So there you have it 3 watches,3 days, a fish and a frying pan. I hope next week it will be an easier subject to photo like live unicorns And It really brought home the difficulty of shooting and making a film like Jaws.

I was hoping it might challenge some. I agree that it’s true about working with kids and animals.

Am very glad Barry came to his senses and didn’t require further inspiration.

They're pretty good cats, both really love our 3 year old. They're siblings we adopted 5 years ago now.
