London Christmas Meetup Pictures!

Was a truly great night last night! Really brilliant to meet everyone, great conversations had and some absolutely beautiful watches being worn too.
I know I haven't managed to get pictures of everyone so hopefully others have some they can share too.

Thank you so much for coming everyone! You really are an amazing bunch ❤️

Till next time (or that WatchCrunch caravan holiday in Great Yarmouth we planned!) 🍻

Nice to see another meetup organized successfully!🥳Good work!👍

·

It was a good night! Thanks to @Deeperblue for organising everything and being really welcoming to everyone who came along. There was a good sense of community and plenty of good natured passion to go around.

It was a pleasure to meet everyone and finally see ‘words/pictures on a screen’ turn into actual people - bit like a seeing a watch ’in the metal’, if you will!

·

Looks like fun! Well done @Deeperblue . Hopefully I can make the next one - if it doesn't clash with another special occasion!

What those of us who weren't there need is to put some names to the faces. Who's who??

·

What a night, thanks to deeperblue for a monumental organisation fest(top pub((proper beer)) damn good Indian as well) some awesome timepieces, but most of all , you lot are brilliant people couldn't think of a better group to spend 'time' with, me n the little fella had a great time and we can't wait to see you all again.

It's back home and straight to work for us, but going (with a bit of a thick head) but some great memories, so thankyou all(got that offer on that citizen accepted,so an India special will be coming up😉),never buy watches after beer they say,but what the hell. So goodbye for now and thankyou all.

Thank you so much for bringing the Omega for me to have a look at. It's possible the most beautiful watch I've ever seen.

Photos do it no justice at all.

It was a really lovely atmosphere. ❤️ Everyone was so easy to chat to and it was just like meeting your mates down the pub.

·

Looks like a ton of fun!

Congrats!!

·

Well done guys, looks like a great time was had by all.

·

It looks like a great time! I am really sorry to have missed it 😕

I am hoping it was such a success that it wont be long before another London meetup is in the books? Perhaps summer? 😎

·

Looks like you all had a great time! 🍻

...and this is a random guy we picked up who had nothing to do with WC but started chatting to us because he's a big watch fan!

Brilliant. I love that you picked up randoms. Is he on WC now??

This looks like it was a blast - really makes me wish I lived about 6,300KM closer. What type of watch was the "random guy" wearing?  I live in a small city in the middle of nowhere, but we are fortunate to have a local watch enthusiast group that gets together 3 or 4 times per year. Those meetups, which usually have 20-30 people attending, are held in a private room, so we don't have the issue of random people showing an interest. As I was looking at the photos, I was wondering how you managed to share watches without drawing unwanted attention.

·

I’m glad my watches photograph better than I do, and other peoples watches certainly do. Wish I had found the opportunity to see more, though those I did see were interesting, intriguing, and sometimes quite wonderful.

(Vintage Omegas and an Arnie in action tend to stick in the mind)

Was early enough that I still made it back in time to take on the Fortnite event with family too.

Random Guy was the bouncer for the pub. He was pretty cool, and maintains the standard of intense stylish headwear I expect from West End bouncers — back in the day one I knew tended to wear a Soviet Ushanka. He wasn’t even Russian.

·

Sorry Guys I could not make it. I am out and in bed with a Cold :(

·

After a surprisingly early breakfast at 8 I continued with a watch safari at Harrods and New Bond Street.

Wait….Watchcrunch swag?? Shut up and take my money!!

There was not too much flexing going on, more nerding. I was schwarzkopfing with my £12 Wwoor. I saw someone wearing an Omega, but not one random members of the public would recognize. Besides, both the pub and the whole of Covent Garden was packed to the point where barely anyone could move.

·

Wow wow weewow, you've expanded the crew quickly!  Congrats, happy holidays 🎉🥳

·

Ahhh looks like fun! Need to organize something in Toronto.

·

Ohh just a lovely group 🥰… im

jelaous…

Yeah, right.   You guys just needed an excuse to go out and drink !  Well done !

So sad to have missed this. Looks like everyone had a great time
