My First Automatic Watch & Review

So this is my first every (Automatic) watch and I really must say I am thrilled, I saw some good YouTube content about this watch, with bit positives and negatives, but here I go, I dove straight in the deep end and grabbed this bargain timepiece.

Straight out the box the watch is well protected, after unwrapping and setting the time and date, I left it on wrist for a couple of hours, and mate, it’s super comfortable, very quiet and dose what a watch is supposed to do right!

so worth the price, at the time of purchase I payed less than £40 (£36.44) on Ali Express.

So my version is the Berny AM038M-B with a (Seagull Automatic movement, st1612) I got the white version that comes with a Sapphire crystal both on the front and rear display, oh yeah rear display how bloody cool right, it’s great to see the inner workings and rotor moving when I show it off, the Berny branding in the dial, strap & Clasp and just on point with design.

I have a few gripes, it wouldn’t be a review if not, first off the loom so poor, only a dot at the 12-3-9 & second hand, it could have been so better, the strap, only 19cm long, I would have liked it longer, so I replace the strap soon, the numerics I would like more than just 3 on the dial, and I have heard the rotor on the odd occasion.

Ultimately I would say to anyone who wants a bargain, or if you are looking for entry level automatic, then take the plunge and grab yourself a great watch.

Regarding the loom: this is the older model. There is a newer version with strong loom, the AM138M-L. This is a bit more expensive, about £65, I am not sure though about the lollypop second hand on the new model.

Yes you are right, I opted not to get that one because of the dial not having numbers, and the second hand is not good.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, after wearing this watch I’m super happy with it, I’m not to bothered with not having so much loom, not I just need to get a longer strap, 19cm is not brilliant.
