2023 SOTC

I wanted to do a New Years SOTC but I had a couple of outstanding orders waiting to arrive. Everything is settled now and here’s what I currently have.

I always have to include my wife’s collection because she shares this hobby with me and there’s a few in there that I can borrow without even changing the straps. Others are only a strap change away for me to wear.

It wasn’t a planned pairing. LOL

I missed the no date version when they were new so I had to pay a premium for a used one.

I got my wife’s as a surprise. I’m not supposed to buy watches for her because she chooses her own but the colour is just drop dead gorgeous.

Oh the no date one (grail)👍👍 and your wife's is a super colour, brilliant with that strap.

·

Very respectable collection! Nice choices and variety!

Very nice collection… my wife also loves watches now after we got married she started the wis, she loves my subdate and after she got a few comments on her wrist (she never got wrist notice before) now she does not want to take it out, couple of years ago we got the Daytona, but never got notice, put back the subdate and on a work meeting abroad she got a compliment for the watch and a conversation started, she called me right away… now she loves them… Hahha

·

Very nice! Love that LLD the most!

Wonderful collection.

I’m sure many of these watches have great stories/memories associated with them.

My oldest and most worn watches are sitting in another box. They kind of got pushed out of the main box as I bought or traded for higher end pieces. These older models also tend to be less expensive and used more often at work.

My wife has liked watches longer than me. She wanted the Chanel since she was in high school. She was also the one that pushed me to get my first luxury watch back when I still thought we couldn’t afford anything at all. It’s nice to have a partner in the hobby.

Very nice! Love that LLD the most!

The kicker is that the no date has a “slightly” shorter lug length than the modern version that makes the difference between comfortable to wear and overhanging lugs on my particular wrist size.

Your wife's collection is one of the best I've seen! She has great taste.

She also has a pretty varied collection outside this case with a collection of digitals, small modern ladies’ watches and some super tiny vintage cocktail watches. She’s got everything covered from about 14mm to 46mm. LOL

Yeah, it’s very nice, every time we travel abroad and we see a boutique, we go together and look together… it’s amazing

I’ve tried. She will take a wrist shot if I ask her to but she has no interest in joining a forum or doing WRUW posts.
