Speidel Railroad Watch Review

As an increasing occurrence in my life, insomnia has become an unwelcome companion that my mind seems obligated to obey despite my weary flesh, bones and sinews feeling otherwise.

So to pass the time during these wee hours of this blustery night, I decided to put on my Speidel Railroad Watch and tune my Superadio to Coast to Coast with George Noory which may help lull me into some kind of semblance of sleep.

As I look down at my all gold-tone watch with large printed numerals, bold hands and bright red second hand…while listening to an interview with co author Tim R. Swartz of MIMICS, The Others Among Us…I can’t help but give-in to the fact that I’m not getting any younger. I mean…here I sit in the middle of the night in my lounge-chair while listening to a program about extraterrestrials posing as humans living amongst us…all while wearing a highly-legible gold watch with an expansion band. Oh well…at least the watch is really cool.

This Speidel is a joy to wear because of its comfort and almost perfect dimensions:

40mm x 9mm, weighing 64 grams and sporting Speidel’s famous Twist-o-Flex 18mm bracelet. All components are stainless steel with a rich, smooth gold-tone application that provides a warmth for guys like me who are increasingly warning others to keep off of their lawn.

Like many of us, when reaching into our watch drawer for our daily watch selection, sometimes this can be daunting. This exercise has been made easier for me since getting my Speidel Railroad Watch, because it just seems to tick so many boxes I’m looking for in a watch as I prepare to venture out the door for another day among the Lizard People.
