Casio A700W review

Casio is as ubiquitous about its designs as its influence is across the globe. Meet the A700W -- the slightly ostentatious and higher caste cousin of the Congress-wearing, detonation-triggering F91W.

Beneath its glimmering chrome-painted plastic case, lies that famous do-what's-needed module...but with a beaming back light the former lacks.

Add the retro instant-adjust link stainless steel bracelet...and you've got one little looker sure to please everyone except maybe the likes of Sir Mix-a-Lot!

I've gotta say...I like this little fancy boy. And little it is. Its dimensions read like a Babies-R-Us onesie: 37.4 × 35.5 × 6 mm. But when worn on the wrist, its feathery 50 gram weight puts a pacifier in the mouth of any objections to its tiny tot size.

Do I recommend this shined-up example the Casio storks delivered to us? A shrill and resounding yes!

  • Bright display and backlight.
  • So slim and thin.
  • Attractive design
  • Pretty small.
  • The clasp doesn't engage if not aligned perfectly.
  • Painted plastic case. I'd even be happy with base metal.

I think Sir Mix A Lot would say she “little in the middle”. Love it.
