Which watch accompanies you in the yard/garden?

I think I own 57 watches. Many of them boast a hearty robustness that makes even a strong bowl of beef stew jealous. But when the time for picking my yard buddy comes along, my 1989 DW5600 gets the longest straw almost every time. Its long-worn and glossy case and band speak to me of its competent history, while its almost mint crystal shoots me a clear glance of how long I've been roasting in the furnace of the sun. This is a stalwart companion that has never let me down...and has helped keep me from collapsing among the lilies due to heat exhaustion! Show us and discuss your favorite watch that tags along with you while you mow, trim and chisel your yard or garden.聽

This one of the youth orientated versions of the 5610 but it is indestructible, I really have battered this watch and it looks almost new.

I have two new beater watches in my collection that have already survived some severe conditions. 馃槀

Don't know if you saw this, but here is the review with the tests: https://www.watchcrunch.com/Candide3693/reviews/casio-timex-g-shock-iron-man-review-11009

Mine is a Seiko 5kx that I used to practice modding for the first time. Since I scratched it up with my modding attempt, it is a perfect mowing/ weeding/ work watch especially since I can just jump in the shower with it and wash it off along with myself when I'm done.聽

I love your Honda mower. 聽I took this while doing some lunchtime weeding and tried to get my old Honda mower in the pic too but my wife caught me in the shed with the mower and I abandoned the attempt to avoid the mocking.

Fantastic review. Both the Casio and Timex sacrificed their souls for a good cause. Yeah...thanks a lot for prompting me to buy that Timex model at Walmart next time I'm there馃槀

That's a great model!

My day to day watch is the seiko 5, I love mechanicals and this was an inexpensive e Bay purchase so I won't be bothered when it gets some patina, mind you the damn thing seems to be ding n scratch proof not like some of my 'better' watches. Like a metal strap as I work in a dusty environment so dust n sweat (occasionally) under a rubber strap a no no,and the glass sits recessed under the bezel so protects it(clever those Japanese, other manufacturers take note),anyway this bad boy is going into the deep today as its aquarium day today so it's going in to do battle with kribs and some moss removal

Sounds like your line of work really puts the Seiko to the test!

I was skeptical and doubtful at first with this watch. Until I gotten other better watches and decided I need something reliable since I like the analogs I made this one my choice. And so far I enjoy it and Casio G shock did it again for me. Luv it!

This Citizen AT is attractive, but it鈥榮 also a beast. Chores, water play, whatever, this holds up. It鈥檚 a go to on grandkid day!
