Do you ever find yourself just aimlessly-admiring your watch? What is this sickness?
I'm sitting in my car in the bay at Jiffy Lube, and I realize I'm just staring at my day date homage...admiring its lines and shiny bits...while it pours a warm joyful syrup of glee over me. Not even my best girlfriends have been able to do that! Do you folks gaze at your watches while at the market, at a shop, while in queue, or while at KFC stuffing your face? What is this sickness we all suffer? Tell us your story.

Time dictates my linear path to its bitter end. My watches keep me one step ahead of time…and one foot out of the grave.

I always have that short pleasurable moment every time I glance at whatever watch I'm wearing for the day, either to check the time, or to give my brain some distraction from crunching work. I blurt out, "Hayy... ang ganda mo talaga!" @TheSharperTheBetter @JTinLA12 @rodeenski @chrislang @IanCognito @Ichibunz and others will understand. 😉 Then, after 10 seconds or so, I get back to what I'm doing, but with a smile on my face. 😎

Totally talaga! And this is why I buy watches that speak to me vs. whatever brand or model is being hyped or sought after ATM. Its those moments of private joy that make this hobby so fulfilling. Not flexing online or finding an investment watch. Just what the OP said, thats why I love this addiction 😉

To your girlfriend comparison, whenever I do stare at my girlfriend... admiring her beauty, lines and shiny skin... I also keep blurting out, "Hayy... ang ganda mo talaga!" She then always gives me a warm smile, with a sparkle in her eyes. 😊 For me, it's a similar glee, but never apples and apples. 😉😎

it's the only sickness that I am proud to have haha It is even more pleasurable when you get so mesmerized by the beauty and design knowing the good deal that you got it for... (name drop seikos and orients!) 😉

Oh yeah, totally. One of the features I need on a watch is that it makes me smile at least on the inside.
