What is your "beater" watch?(And what do you love about it?)
Previously had a G-Shock but(I know this is a bit illogical) I've been missing analogue hands so I have jumped ship and will be trying out a Citizen Promaster Tough (BN0118-04E) for my retail work and exploring.
I'm loving it so far because of it's rugged no-nonsense look, easy to read dial and the monobloc watch case is a first and I really like it! The dull look of the titanium doesn't draw any eyes too(and I guess in a tactical sense that is a good thing too).
Mechanical watches have been out of the question because of the "shock" movements of my work(tearing up carboard, unloading and moving stock etc etc), I am hoping this Eco-drive will last for a while.

I don't own a beater, and I never will. If I know an activity will damage my watch I take it off before said activity. At this point in my life this is almost always possible. I understand it isn't always possible for people to do that.

That's fair enough, at work I hate getting my phone out to check the time(I've recently been trying to be less glued to it in general) so I've really appreciated a good old watch.

It’s really not as big as it looks.
I got two g-shock squares and love them for their bright colors and for being ultra light.
If I’m sweating these are the most comfortable watches I have.
I also have a small Lorus in titanium that I use for field work and for taking into shady places whenever discretion is advised, for instance: window shopping for watches 😆

The monocoque thing is very much (in my opinion) a cool gimmick, even though its just got plain text on I think it is just as cool as an exhibition case back. Definitely gives off "no-nonsense" "I'm here to do one job" vibes haha

I love the stubbornness and top of the world confidence to say - this is though, through and through. If the engine blows up we can service it from the passenger seat 😏
