Is -30% off MSRP for this watch a good buy?

Hello everyone,

After parting with some watches in exchange for some good ole cash. For a while I have been wanting to get into the Seiko "presage" collection. A local dealer here has had a black dial Sharp Edge series watch(SPB203J1) in his window for ages (I should know - I am always pestering the poor guy :D). I like the watch and fit but because I have never owned a presage or a 6R35 movement I have no idea how much one should pay for it.

Do you think at -30% off(From £880 to £616) is good "bang for buck"?

I know this kind of thing is subjective but I would really appreciate your thoughts.

That looks like a good deal if this is a new in the box. Also, in a few months you are going to forget how much you paid for it. Love the watch. Congrats!

Not got it just yet! the dealer said he would kindly offer the price for 24 hours - though with the catch that if someone came in and bought it in the meantime then tough luck (Which is fine, I just needed to do a bit more research/hard thinking on it). We shall see if it is still there tomorrow :)

The blue, green and white variants seem to be constantly sold out - I get the impression I'll be doing him a favour freeing up space :D

Discounted Seikos remain some of the best values, so of course!
