First post on this app. She's not the prettiest, but I adore the GSAR. It has all the utilitarian oddities I love, and I'm not really all that pretty anyway. This watch speaks to me, and that's all I need to keep wearing it as a daily.
Everyone has their taste. Personally, I love tooly watches like the Marathon’s SAR line. I can just feel how it wears thru the screen and want to try one so badly! But I mustn’t! I have my 24-hour Vostok for that. If they made a GMT version my wishlist would be under some serious editing haha
The only con I have about Marathon is their marketing that their watches are tough just because their mechanical models use movements with Incabloc in them (like every other mechanical movement, from what I’ve learned lol). I think the quartz version of it fits the ruggedness better.

If I stopped wearing watches from brands with strange or unnecessary marketing, I'd have no watches to wear, lol. We wear the watches, not the marketing.
I'm also a sucker for tooly watches, but too many of them becomes its own problem. How do you pick which one you're going to leave at home for the rough adventures, insulted by your lack of faith in it?

I’m a sucker for tooly watches too. I love Wolbrook’s watches, especially the fauxtina lume ones. Seeing GO have a glossy and skinny skin diver feels wrong; like a polished hammer head
Spent years and years wearing watches without really getting into them. Fell into the deep end looking for a new watch a couple years ago, and there's no going back now. Mostly into utilitarian design...
Welcome to the forum, but you shouldn't put yourself down... let us Watch Crunchers do that for you 😉
Ps. Awesome watch 💪

Welcome Cruncher and she's a good looking watch! If you really don't like it send her my way🤣. Happy Friday and welcome again!
