The pocket watches I once owned
I thought I would catalogue, for myself and you, all the pocket watches I owned that I no longer own or can't find. I don't have any pictures so 8 will try to describe them.
I had 3 Quartz pocket watches before I got my first mechanical watch all of which I bought in primary school.
The first I got was s cheap pocket watch, it was a silver colored pocket watch. This is the watch that made me fall in love with pocket watches. It found its end after having been put into the washing machine.
The second pocket watch I got came with a magazine it did not have a front case lid that opened (I am not sure of the terminology for this) like the rest of my watches. I have since lost this watch.
The third, I got whilst on a school outing and which I promptly sold to a primary school friend who really wanted it. This watch had an image of a fly fisherman catching a fish on it, which is why I liked it as I am a fly fisherman.
A year or two after getting my first mechanical pocket watch I tried to get another mechanical one from the same place I got my first one. This watch stopped working a few hours later so I returned it.
South African. I got an automatic fossil for my 18th birthday in 2019, but I am just getting into watches properly now.
