NATO/Zulu fans!

Anyone else a fan of the humble NATO strap?

I love that they are light weight, durable and a cheap and easy way to change the look of your watch.

Absolutely! As an ex-serviceman, my NATO straps came in handy on more than one occasion. Nothing worse than a pin bar pinging out of a strap while you're in the middle of nowhere and your watch falling off. That doesn't happen on a NATO.

Here's some of my #casio watches, most of which are on NATOs:

Nice collection! Do the F-91s need a conversation kit to fit a NATO!

Thanks. No, you just have to fiddle with them a little. I find that if you put the bar in 1/3 of the way, then pull the strap behind it and then push the pin home, it works. Obviously means there's no movement on the strap for the watch face, so you need to be sure it's in the right position. Easy enough to do though.

Only thing to be aware of with the 91 (and many similar Casios to be fair) is that the push bars are press fit, so you can't be swapping straps all the time as the plastic where the bar clips in starts to open up and eventually the pin won't press in anymore.

Thanks for the tip 👍

Absolutely, almost a different watch for very little money.

·

Yes. They are good.

·

Yes, I loveNATO's.  I know nearly everyone disagrees, but I think they make a watch more dressy. Therefore it saves me money if I have to go somewhere dressy (rarely), I just 'pop it on a NATO'.

This one gives my Longines Legend Diver an energetic vibe:

And this one makes my Seiko 5 as utilitarian as can be.

I like them on the right watch, I think this is definitely right.

I love NATOs but I find that they seem to extend the effective lug to lug on my rather flat shaped wrist. I can get away with one on something small like a DressKX but anything bigger just doesn't sit right. Anyone else had this issue?

The longine looks great, perfect for yachting in the south of France! And the Seiko looks stealthy 😎

Yeah, the folded tail of  the strap does add to the size. But I find the better the quality the less bulk in the fold. I like a nice seatbelt nylon strap.
