It's not you. It's me.

Have you ever bought a watch only to find that you just didn't connect to it the way you had hoped?

My example: I bought a couple funky, unique, interesting 70s watches that are in great condition, but...well...there was no chemistry.

We miss 100% of the shots that we don't take.

Yes, but it also happens in reverse, watches that I didn't like and then down the road, a spark starts and it's like where have you been all my life.  The one good thing about a large collection, is you have a lot of those moments and it feels like you just bought a new watch.

Absolutely! I researched and purchased a Tudor Pelagos black dial during the pandemic. When it arrived it wasn't me... everythin  checked a box of perfect.  It was me. I recommend Pelagos all the time.  Pelagos is light years against it's big bro with a crown and the comp. Just not for me.

I'm with you on the Pelagos.  It's a fantastic watch, but when I tried it on, it didn't pull at my heartstrings.

You're absolutely right.  The Rolex Explorer never appealed to me (seemed almost boring), and then overtime, I started to appreciate it, and now it's my favorite watch.

I made that mistake with some fashion watches and over size. I got rid of them gave them alway.
