SO DUMB. New Casio GM2100 with adaptors instead of lugs.

If I'm not mistaken Casio is the biggest watch brand in the world with well over 100 million g-shocks sold.

But somehow they still manage to screw up when it comes to comfort and actually fitting on the wrist. - The most common wrist size in the watch community is 6.5" and quite frankly most g shocks don't fit that size well.

But then to take that and lazily throw on ugly adaptors is just lazy.

It looks like shit and it has a massive lug to lug.

I really don't like it...

I don't wear fabric or canvas straps on a G Shock because they're not durable enough and when they get soaked in sweat and diesel they're impossible to get clean, hence why the resin has worked for so many for so long.

Since Casio seem to have struck gold with the Casioak they really are milking the design for all it's worth, every conceivable flavour; full metal, big ones, small ones, every colour, straps, Bluetooth, even the melty ones which I did a post about a few weeks ago which were clearly an injection moulding error that they ran with. The 2100 has become a fashion piece that needs to be seen, therefore whether it actually fits the wrist size seems to be irrelevant now.

The small ones are still big, but I guess they designed it as a big watch.

Seems believable

According to the internet yes. It's from a watch insurance company that did a survey.

Yeah I like fabric on my dressier Casio.

I wish there were more soft g shocks like the gbd200. Very comfy strap.

I really find the black and the beige version so beautiful. But I agree this adaptator are not that beautiful and looks cheap in comparison with all of the other elements of the watch. But damn this black version…

I don't mind the way the adapters look, but I think green is the wrong color choice here. I would have went with black, or navy blue. But then again, I don't have an issue with the size of the G-Shock, because I have large wrists. So feel free to ignore my opinion 😎🤣 When you're talking averages, you always want to discard rare outliers that can skew the data. 😀
