Up Close With the Studio Underd0g Go0fy Panda

A manual wind, column wheel, `’big-eye’ chronograph. Great fun to photograph

Yes, works really well with all the designs.

Good to see a ‘fun’ watch design doing well

·

The quality of execution looks pretty amazing considering the price point. I had preferred the more colorful models, but the Go0fy Panda is really growing on me.

·

My first time hearing of this watch. The design language of this piece is spectacular. I don’t know which I like th most, the dial or the beautiful decorated movement.

I went with ’safe’ option, the regret started when I hit ‘buy’! The Eggplant/Aubergine has been my favourite so far

I need one of these in my collection!!!

I'd have to agree with you on that - that Aubergine is awesome. I'm struggling with a decision on the current Peaches & Cream offering. I really like it, but once exchange rates, duties & taxes are taken into account, it works out to almost $1,200 CDN. I had purchased a Geckota W-02 chrono with the same ST19 movement for $500 CDN a couple of years ago, and never really wear it. It appears to have a similar level of quality, but the design isn't as appealing.  I've already got too many watches that I don't wear very often, and can't decide if I want to spend that much on another watch that's most likely to suffer the same fate, simply because I like the design.

Thanks @morganthedruid
He had a great idea and executed it so well, didn’t he? It’s exciting to see how the brand develops

😂😂😂It’s ok to like watches from afar! We don’t have own everything we like.

I’m with you on the exchange rates/import duties (part of the reason I have gone for a Brew or Lorier). I really liked the Geckota W02. It’s strange how that didn’t take off but yet Furlan Marri pulled off the same trick and get a GPHG/plaudits for it

Thanks for this. I recently got the V2 mint ch0c chip after falling in love with it virtually. When it finally arrived I've actually had a bit of buyer's remorse due to the seagull movement and have barely worn it but your amazing photos have reminded me clearly about the amazing design and execution that made me fall in love with it in the first place. Will be wearing it tomorrow.

Thanks for your compliment and sorry to hear about your watch experience. The markers on yours are the best rendition of the ‘chocolate’ colour I’ve seen on anything labelled ‘chocolate’ colour.
The movement is fine for the price point - I only have a problem with the amount of dirt on the parts (zoom in on the caseback shots) but that’s just a minor gripe.

How is the Strap Tailor strap btw? For all subsequent releases, assembly/regulation is now done in the UK so it’ll be interesting to see if they upgrade/improve the finishing on the movement.
The price has jumped significantly with all these upgrades already from £370 to £500, so it remains to be seen if there will be further increases as a result.

Post a shot on the WRUW tomorrow and let us all enjoy it too!

I need this watch,

I'm seriously becoming impatient for the berries and cream version. Got my order in within the first minute it was open. December can't come soon enough

The Strap Tailor strap is gorgeous... but it's not my style. And therein lies a bit more of the buyer's regret: part of the price hike comes from the strap, which is great if the style works for you but....

Will post on WRUW tomorrow, maybe I'm just having unfounded regret or it's the right watch for me but just not now.

Thank You - appreciated

with the Berries & Cream due to ship this week, I was curious about the packaging. Do you have any photos of the packaging of the watch you have?

·

Congratulations on your impending arrival! It’s a lovely colourway and really suits the brand’s identity.

Bear in mind that I received mine in the second batch of releases, so yours may have been updated. Also I didn’t have mine sent to me - Richard was kind enough to bring it along to a watch show - hope it helps.

Just invested in the less goofy Dan Henry 1964 Panda. The retro style appeals a bit more to me. But this design is very well done for a modern take on a bicompax I think.

Cool, very Carrera-esque!! Which dial variation?
