Up Close with the Furlan Marri Black Sector 2116-A

On Furlan Marri’s website they mention ‘details, no matter what’.

Even though this is a simple 3-hander, there are details galore. From the Corne de Vache style lugs, to the sector dial (very reminiscent of the Patek 96 Eberhard-Milan), the capped central pinion and the applied Breguet numerals. In addition to these, the finishing on the buckle is so finely done and the double positions of the lug holes (for curved and straight) straps. Well done Furlan Marri!

Although the crystal was very difficult to photograph!

Thanks Per!

I bought it for the lugs but its definitely staying for the dial. It almost borders on a scientific dial

I really like it, there are so many details it's hard to stop looking at it. It does suffer from the same issue that the Kurono has ( IMHO ) ie the hands (look similar to Kurono) are a bit thin, it's not easy to read at a quick glance for me, especially without glasses.

That’s another good looking watch. I think you’re right about the hands but that’s quite typical of most (vintage/vintage inspired) sector dials - you do have to ‘train’ your eyes to follow the hands to the sector rings. I have more of an issue with the sharp(ish) crown - can be uncomfortable in certain positions. I love the thin brushed bezel too. The high polished step really catches the light so nicely
