Baltic Showroom in London

When I ordered my MR-01, I went with the strap option but sometimes I’m in a bracelet-kind-of-mood. So I went onto Baltic‘s website and remembered they now have a showroom in London’s West End (5 mins walk from Oxford Circus Station). It’s a small/medium spaced office that’s been renovated nicely. Its not been there long and everything in the current collection is available for you to try on - which, for a (mainly online) microbrand, is invaluable. Well worth a visit and they were open to (smallish) groups attending too. They also mentioned that there were more dress pieces upcoming this year (no more info than that though!).

No probs - you’re welcome.

Do you need to book an appointment? I had the impression you needed to, would love to pop by if not as I’m based in London.

Great photos, thank you for them! Any watch that stood out when you saw it in person?

‘Officially’, yes. I made a noon appointment as I was had a meeting about 10mins away. When you receive the confirmation email, you also get a contact landline. Since my meeting ended early, I called them up and asked if I could turn up early; they said it was fine and by the tone of the conversation, I could have pretty much knocked on the door anyway. My advice would be to make an appointment for the day you want to go and if you’re free just give them call out of courtesy. I’m loathe to give out their number on here because it’s not displayed on their website

Thanks - appreciated. Yes to answer your question: the Aquascaphe and GMT. They wear like a vintage diver. I really wasn’t sure at first (I thought they were a touch too big for me) but they are a good size.  Also the colours are so much better in person - really subtle. I tried on the Tri-Compax but it’s too tall for me personally. It’s very well made. As an added bonus, if anyone was after one the waitlisted watches - they could add you to the list from there ;-)

According to the staff, the best sellers (by far) have been the MR-01’s and Blue Aquascaphes

That looks like a nice bracelet..I seem to always order with bracelets and order different straps for my pieces..seems to be a little less expensive that way..

Thanks. I would normally agree with you on strap/bracelet strategy but I honestly thought I would wear this particular one on bracelet (I was wrong, obviously!). Also the Baltic flat link bracelet fits the MR-01. Not a perfect fit but decent one if your heart desired one

Not surprised by the MR-01, seems like it took everyone by storm. That GMT with the aquamarine looks great online (in terms of colorway) something for me to think about seeing if I ever find my self across the pong haha.

That is a great initiative by Baltic. Hope to see others to follow.

Maybe send them an email to see if they’re ever in your part of the world?
