My same experience with the Code 11.59...
I went into the boutique for a different AP and that one did not excite me. The salesperson then brought out the Code 11.59 Chrono with the smokey blue dial and that was it...not leaving the wrist...

But if you wanted to go the affordable route, Dumoreau did some really nice ones with their DM01 for under $500...
And then there is the super bargain, but gorgeous, Citizen Tsuyosa for less than $300...

I have two Alpine Eagles...so I guess that must be the winner for me...
I also have this GP Laureato...which is awesome if you don't want the screws in the bezel and you don't want the hobnail pattern on the dial...dial is stone...Onyx...
