NWA?

Not really a new watch alert, more rather a new look alert lol.

The 2 watches in the photo :

top row - Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

bottom row - Baltic Aquascaphe Blue Gilt

Not too sure the term “strap monsters” are still used in the watch community. But this 2 pieces of mine are definitely my kind of ”strap monsters” and my most worn watch till date.

Usually spending my time ogling youtube reviews and instagram of new and innovative watches On my free time. With the limited budget i have, i can’t afford to buy every watch i drool upon.  So my solution to this was to buy new straps and change them up and continue to enjoy these watches in a different looks. Personally, i do own a few(5) other watches as well and also tries to allocate wrist time to all but still this 2 are the gada as they feel like a new watch when i change out the straps.

Do you strap change to prolong the longevity of your love to your current watches?

Do you strap change for the different climate and occasions?

Or simply sell or replace another watch when you are bored of it?

love to see your ”strap monsters” and thoughts!

Love to change straps just for fun !

Otherwise, there are some good reasons to change: rubber when going to swim, change back to NATO on week-ends. For work, I like a nice alligator leather or a JPM shell cordovan (vintage look).

Steel is really versatile ... but rather heavy sometimes.

I love leather as well, feels more supple and comfortable. But infortunately, my climate here is always warm and humid and leather tends to wear out very fast.

Bummer … have you tried some of these ?

They are quite thick. I even swim with one I have from time to time and then it’s just a matter of waxing them regularly -like shoes.
