Need help to choose

The zenith could be a daily driver but is not very versatile for dress occasions The JLC has a waitlist but could be both daily and dressy but more dressy The Bigeye could be a good choice for both daily and dress, but it's kind of thick and the lume is a bit too green for me. but overall it could be a strap monster.

If you can afford the Zenith then you can also afford another watch for dress occasions if you really believe anyone will ever notice the watch that you wear.

·

zenith does some things that…well I don’t love them. Something about that integrated bracelet shaped case without an integrated bracelet just rubs me wrong.

The Longines is real nice, and I’d definitely consider it.

The JLC though…well that’s a classic.

I wasn’t aware there was a wait list on the JLC. I haven’t shopped them in person, but they seem more or less available on line.

·

They seem quite different in style, so I'm guessing that you'll know once you put them on your wrist. For me, if it was a dress watch I'd go for the JLC or for that money consider an Omega. If budget was an issue, I like the Longines heritage watches. If you want something meaty and technical, then I guess a Zenith comes into the mix, but so does the Speedy. Choices, choices. Good luck!

oh man~ it seems the vote is sliding towards the reverso🤣 zenith shadow was leading at first

·

I voted for the Big Eye as it’s more versatile. There’s no bad choices here though. Zenith is an amazing watch, as is the Reverso.

yeah is so hard to choose that’s why i needed this poll😬

·

Hahahahaha!!! Definitely everyone have their own opinion

·

Voted for the Bigeye. I have one and it works for me for both casual or dress purposes. Love the asymmetry of the dial but so balanced. Would consider the JLC but could not justify the price. Not a fan of the Zenith though I respect its technical prowess. Something about the shape/design doesn't really do it for me.

On the right strap, it is so gorgeous IMHO!

I have issues with each of these choices myself.  You are looking for a GADA that works particularly well with dress functions.  You have the wrist size for the Zenith and you have the budget for the Reverso.

Let me plug this information into the old computer and see what pops out.  Ah yes,  there is one perfect option.

I haven’t got chance to try on the bigeye yet but had tried the jlc and zenith. Both jlc and zenith was almost love at first sight but the wallet disapprove getting both. hence this poll😬

I am a huge Longines fan but like you mentioned in the OP, the green lume is a little odd.  I never could pull the trigger on that version but I did grab the titanium version.

I don’t imagine there would be any size issues with the Big Eye on your size wrist.

I’m jealous… hopefully this poll could help me with the decision making. It seems like JLC is pulling ahead at the moment🫣

Zenith - amazing cool watch but as you state limited in its use

Longines - great watch but definitely narrow in application

JLC - you can never go wrong with a Reverso - classic dressy sporty watch - the red is fantastic but definitely more limited in its overall wearability

I landed on these two Reversos for my collection...

A bit more on the dressy end of the spectrum, but appropriate for almost anything.

·

I am not voting - they are each so different in style, no one watch will scratch all three itches.

·

Value and quality has too go to the Longines

·

I don't know if I could pull off wearing the JLC everyday... A little too classy for me. The Longines looks like a great everyday but I'm not sure about dressing with it... Possibly. But imo the Zenith fits the bill

·

Depending on the Reverso model, you can wear one in both dress and casual mode.  Personally, I'd go for the quality and uniqueness value of the Reverso.  #jaegerlecoultre

·

Only one dress watch in that selection. Chronograph is not a dress watch.

Daily any of them and my choice would be any of them (just not a red dialled JLC)

·

The Shadow all day long.

I'm going to say the Big Eye, simply considering where you live, I think strap versatility is a must. While you can get the Reverso on a bracelet, it's most common configuration is on a leather strap. I haven't seen the Shadow on anything other than it's stock strap, but there might be aftermarket options out there.

·

It also depends on what you already own and what's your style? If you're looking for something more formal but with the right strap can look casual, I would go for the Reverso but if that's not the case I would go with the Shadow. I voted for the Reverso because I have a Reverso Duo and I can dress it down. I would go for the blue dial as easier to wear.

My 2 cents and share photos of your choice.  👍

I’m left scratching me head🤔

I am liking the Zenith here.  I would put my money into what I wear the most.  And you are getting some very interesting watch-making.  I have a feeling the one you are looking at is a future classic.
