I did and it was a painful one indeed…. It was 2018 and i was shopping for a dive watch to add into the collection, i saw a ap diver ref 15710ST brand new unworn in a behind the shop window priced at 12600USD. I passed it up thinking maybe wait awhile to see if there was a used cheaper option. Till today i haven gotten the watch and i regret deeply for not pulling the trigger than… Anyone had any similar experience?
Welcome to my WatchCrunch profile.
Some vintage 4 digit rolex divers yes. But that was back then.... Now i dont really care, as even if i bought one, chances are i wont be wearing it enjoying it like other watches of mine.
Absolutely, the seiko sarb when they were affordable as well as the seiko alp. Both now very expensive. Luckily I got a similar seiko to the sarb but nothing like the alp
Had the chance to buy a GMT-Master II 116710BLNR from a Rolex AD in 2018; retail price less than $9,000 - I kick myself for passing that up!
When I picked up my Submariner in Jan of 2018, there was a Hulk in the display case. It was available for purchase. I couldn’t believe it. This was when the supply/demand crisis just started to kick into high gear. At that point, the Hulk was already virtually impossible to get. I can’t believe I didn’t buy it.
I should’ve scored a Submariner for $7k a couple years ago. I’m kicking myself because my last offer was $6k and I didn’t want to budge. I’m such an idiot. 😫
