Should you match your watch to the wardrobe?

This morning started literally with a bang. A thunderstorm woke us at around 4 am and since then LittleCat™ is running around the house at full speed like a headless chicken on crack.

Watching him trying to negotiate corners is making it very obvious to me that his mode of locomotion is old school rear drive with a live axle.

I still have to decide which watch to wear today and preferably do so while I'm away from the hyperactive feline. Therefore I'm taking refuge outside despite the less than ideal conditions.

The only reason I had to reflect on the choice of a watch for today is due to my shirt. I'm wearing a dark navy blue shirt but I really want to strap the Yema Superman because...well, because it's a fine watch and I like it a lot. But blue, green and gray with bronze...hmmm...not really the best color match there is.

In the end I decided that f*ck it, I'm too old for this sh*t. My watch, my wrist, and the fashion police can go out and fly a kite for all I care.

What's amusing is that I DO care. Usually I try to match my watch to what I'm wearing and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who does that.

Yes, I always try, but I will wear my orange face watch with almost anything. #noshame

I was just bringing this up on another post! I like my appearance to be cohesive so got a neutral dial with a bronze case to avoid having to choose between an outfit and a watch. https://www.watchcrunch.com/SNWatchNerd/posts/which-bronze-watch-should-i-get-29638#comment-381726

The bronze matches the coffee perfectly! That’s good enough for me.

Don't care, retired. If I need to I would match-up if need be.

Enjoy that watch!

Cheers!

I match my watch with my mood… and since I’m very moody I change watches often … 😜

Never have,never will.

Luckily, every watch/strap combination matches my official around the house retiree uniform...nothing but a grateful attitude and a smile. Cats, neighbors, and the Google Streets camera truck be damned.

·

I try to match it but some would say I am not always successful.

I usually choose the watch first, depending on the morning mood, and then dress accordingly 😂

Well, the metro in me says yes, only because I find it hard to wear colors that clash. To solve it, I finally get around to getting straps that better compliment what I'm wearing.

But my first choice of watch is based on mood. So instead of changing watches, I'll choose more carefully what I'm going to wear. Maybe I'm just a dong. I can't help it.
