Paving the way with a big slab

The undeniable advantage of wearing uncomplicated 3 hands watches is that it absolves us from the chore of setting the date. Add a skeletonized movement and we will realize that even setting the time is no longer necessary, because with a bit of imagination it can be any time we wish it to be.

As if having a skeletonized movement wasn't enough, the CIGA Design Z Titanium is also fitted with a huge curved slab of non AR coated sapphire, which makes it practically useless at telling the time under most viewing angles and light conditions.

Which is just making the challenge to find just the right angle and capture it on camera more fun. The photo below took me some time to get right and it may well be the only known shot of a legible CIGA Z dial in existence.

On the wrist the CIGA Design Z is exactly what you would expect. It's a big slab of a watch and being flat bottomed doesn't really help contouring to the shape of thin wrists like mine. It's also hilariously funny to wear, which is exactly why I do it today.

“…with a bit of imagination it can be any time we wish it to be.” is the only thing anyone’s ever said that made me (briefly) consider a skeletonized watch.

Not really. I have to admit that it's a fun watch to wear. It's well made and the unpacking experience is extraordinary.

With that watch the only time is cocktail time🍹🍸
