Last month I did a light maintenance on my 420 scuba dude Amphibia and today is the turn of the 710 to get some love. For those interested, this is a more detailed documentation of the procedure. First, this is what I use, from right o left:
An Amphibia watch. This will 100% not work without a watch.
Silicone grease for O-rings.
A tube of polyWatch for polishing the acrylic crystal
A simple tool for removing bezels (in the case of a Vostok you can even use a blunt butter knife).
A brush for removing dirt from the bezel
A vial of liquid glass
Some microfiber clothes.
Remove the bezel and set it aside.
Apply a generous blob of polyWatch and start rubbing. I keep my hand steady and give a quarter of a turn to the watch every minute, re-apply some polyWatch and repeat until I complete a full circle of the watch, so I'm done in about 4 minutes.
Wipe the watch clean from polyWatch residue.
Apply a drop of liquid glass to the crystal and let it cure for a minute or two before wiping it with a soft cloth. The liquid glass will make the acrylic more scratch resistant.
Smear a little bit of silicone grease on the inner periphery of the bezel and on the threads of the crown.
Get the bezel back in place. A light push downward is enough to set it in.
And that's it, the 710 Amphibia is back on my wrist after 10 minutes and is as good as new.

Very interesting and informative and nice amphibia!
Eh. I just put mine in the pocket of my jeans when they go in the washing machine. 😎

Lucky guy! I've been saving for years to buy my own washing machine, maybe next year I'll be able to wash my jeans too.

I admire a man who sticks to his priorities.

Do you put it in the tumble dryer afterwards

That's what I'm currently saving for.
