A game of 369 (pt. 3)

The outside is dark, gloomy, cold and rainy and could serve as a background for a gothic horror or one of those Swedish films where the actors just look at each other in silence while the drama unfold around them. It's a fine morning for an execution at dawn or a quick photo shoot of my favorite Explorer look alike.

The glass crystal of the Mathey-Tissot MT369 provides just enough reflections to make an otherwise monochrome photo looks a bit more interesting. Otherwise this photo would drown in greyness.

The sun is just peeking from behind the grey clouds and it gave me the opportunity to try and catch how the brushing on the bracelet catch the light. It's still a very flat photo without a lot of depth, thought. I guess that now I get it why playing with aperture to blur a background is important when light and shadows don't cooperate.

The MT369 is a delight to wear on my wrist. The small 34.5mm dimensions and the compact design makes for a watch that is very pleasing to wear. Of the three 369 watches that I own It's easily my best looking. it doesn't have the rugged look of the San Martin SN-021G or the pretty dial of the Smiths PRS-25 Everest, but what it has are perfect proportions, a crisp dial and I just love the handset with the little touch of integrating the MT logo on the hour's hand.

it's a good compromise. the original had an acrylic crystal in all probability.

I’m just such a sucker for a box or domed crystal. Admittedly also for a 369 (maybe even a 12) dial.
