A game of 369 (pt.1)

I decided to play a little game this week. In the next days I'll wear

consecutively each of my Explorer look alike and try to find how they differ from each other and what are my likes and dislikes.

I rolled the dices and the San Martin SN021-G is the first on my wrist. It's also the one I like the least, not because of its origin or workmanship but because it's the heaviest.

The fault here lies with the bracelet. It has a thick milled clasp and screwed links, all of which contribute to being thick and heavy. The San Martin isn't a bad watch but I wish it was a tad smaller and lighter.

It's still a nice daily watch and overall the workmanship and finish is more than acceptable. It's just not the best Explorer look alike that I own.

LOL. I personally love titanium watches. The lighter the better for me.

It's a matter of perception, we are conditioned to perceive something dense and heavy as being more valuable than something light. We want to get something tangible in return for our money and that's probably why SM decided to make it heavy.

It's not bad looking, it's well made and I like its simple and no-nonsense dial, but I would not call it original.
