Rubber strap for a daily business casual? The case of a Certina Diver and a rubber …

Dears, as this particular question arises every now or then, I come to you today to finish it once and for all. Do you agree that wearing a diver with a rubber strap in the office (not a CEO) is considered to be ok?

Also when and where do you wear your rubber straps?

Just depends on the dress code...is everyone suited and booted or is it more casual...not that there any rules

The office work in my example is more of a space full of jeans and chinos with jacket’s rather than more formal attires.

Sounds like anything goes to me 👍

I say go for it. My office dress code sounds similar to yours and I just go with whatever I feel like. Very few people pay any attention to what’s on your wrist.

Just wear it , nobody will notice unless their watch nerds like us 😜

I remember seeing an article online, maybe on the Art of Manliness style blog, that suggested that diver watches are considered appropriate with anything up to business formal. Since it sounds like the office is pretty casual, the rubber strap probably isn’t an issue—though if you are concerned, consider switching out the rubber band with a nice leather band.

Then again, in my opinion, Certina is appropriate anywhere, anytime :-)

Wear what you like and what you feel fits your style.

I wear a range of my collection to the office (Financial services Executive), mostly divers and sport watches. I dare anyone to give me a hard time about wearing my AP Offshore or Rolex Yacht Master 42 (rubber oysterflex strap) with a suit :)😉

I bought it on AliExpress. This was a strap for Rolex but in 19mm
