I’ve been collecting watches since 2000 & dam I wish I knew back then what I know about Watches ten years back. And like anything more I know the less you seem to know.
This is number 2 of four Glycines
I lean toward Hamilton as the best bang for your buck. I don't think they can be beat in the $500-1000 range.

Then you haven’t tried on a Glycine. But to be honest with you I don’t own one so I don’t have a reference point. The only one that I was really interested in was the Ventura, because it’s so different & iconic. I’ve seen a couple of others that held a casual interest but kind of over it now. Glycine is one of the few brands that every time I would get one I would be like…..I got a lot of watch for the money. In fact you can probably get a real nice one, or you used to be able to, for about three 350 USD.

Oh and by the way how cool is this back this is the very first one posted. But I will say some are better than others
I like Glycine. It's a solid brand that still sells fine watches at fair prices.
Longines
I think Certina is great value for money and would happily recommend them.
Tissot and longine at the moment
Don’t have the coin for omega Tudor or a Rollie or they would be listed as well.
Another vote for Glycine
Picked up my Airman No. 1 Purist for $500 on sale. I think it's amazing for a faithful reissue of the first multiple time zone watch, which went to space worn by NASA astronauts. I can't think of any other watch with that kind of history available for so little.
Combat 6 - $225 for a proper moonphase and 28,800vph movement. The case is also really nice - lots of visual interest from the combination of finely brushed and polished surfaces and lots of clever undercutting on the underside to make it wear more comfortably.
Shout out to Tissot too. There used to be great deals on Eterna but they now seem to be semi-defunct.

I always feel like I got more than I paid for whenever I buy a Glycine.
