I am really liking this new Islander! Great looking dial, and I love the red accent of the second hand.
Lovely clean cut look and from the reviews I've read/watched on ISL's an enviable build quality and tried and tested, reliable set of internals. 👍
Yes, they all come with at least 100m WR, sapphire crystal, almost all have screw-down crowns (the AmeriQuartz Field Watch models don't), and great quality control and customer service. Most of them are essentially similar to watches you might find on AliExpress (Chinese manufacture with Japanese movements), but with much better quality control. You can also get watches assembled at the Fine Timepiece Solutions factory in Arizona with AmeriQuartz movements for a much lower price than anywhere I have been able to find. Currently, I believe you can get one of the AmeriQuartz Field Watch models for $149, although I believe only the #ISL-75 is still in stock.
It's amazing what can be done at this price point if you don't have to cover marketing and the 'brand' tax. Availability is the only frustration, but not unexpected given how good they are.

@Candide3693 What's your opinion about their Island logo? I've been fascinated by many of their watches but sometimes I wish the logo was more unique or more noticeable.
I have said for a while that it resembles a watch face at 4:20. 🤣
I’m DYING for an ISL-89. It’s been out of stock for months, but it’s still on the site, so I’m hoping Marc gets more of them made. This is my favorite Islander by far.
I thought about getting one of these when they released, but I had just recently purchased a #ISL-79. Wait for Marc to post a new video and ask him in a comment if he plans to release more of these. He has responded to questions I have asked him about Islanders in the comments before. 😀 Did you know this was the first Islander he did not design?
I DID know that! He should let that guy design more watches!
And I think I may just send an email asking about it.
I've been collecting for a few years and have a decent collection of mostly budget and entry-level watches with a few mid-tier watches. I consider myself a lucky watch enthusiast, as the six watches i...
