Everyone Should Have A Weekender!

I was organizing my watches for a SOTC post, and I ran across this little beauty. Think I paid $20-$30 for it a number of years ago. I saw a blog or video on how the Weekender is the watch Timex would like for us to forget, and I am not sure I agree with that premise. The blog or video went on to discuss the more recent Timex releases and sort of dismissed the Weekender if I remember correctly, although I was distracted while viewing it and didn't go back. Anyway, my point is that I think the Weekender deserves respect and its place in any collection. What do you think?

I think it's a great option for an inexpensive, and reliable watch from a known brand.

I think people like to bash Timex, so fit in with the "cool" kids who do it, but in my experience Timex makes good watches.

I agree, and also think Timex has really upped their game in the last few years.

I literally threw my weekender out. It’s the loudest watch every created and feels really cheap. Wouldn’t recommend one to my worst enemy...

I can't hear it and I don't need my readers.

The Weekender does tick very loudly, but I like mine.

That's a @benswatchclub video! The Weekender is probably the most mass-marketed watch to come with a NATO as standard equipment, revealing to untold thousands the joy of strap swapping.

It's also one of those practical watches that is dressy and casual enough to pass in almost all situations. The font with the hockey stick 1's and that one curved corner on the 4 bug me TBH.

Thanks for refreshing my memory on the source. I will have to re-watch it.

I picked this one up for the case more than the dial, to be honest. I like the antique chrome finish.
