I didn't see Soviet consumer good growing up in the USA, but they were commonly imported into the UK by the British brand Sekonda.
The Poljot (Полёт) wasn't branded Sekonda, but was still clearly meant for export, as evidenced by the Latin alphabet in the logo.
I have an abiding respect and admiration for Soviet era watches. At one point I probably had 15 or so. I think this may be my favorite:
Maybe I will wear one tomorrow.
Some of their stuff wasn't very good, but some was fantastic - like the Kalishnakov. Maybe their watch movements were like that.
Middle-aged mum who just likes watches and loves a bargain.
