Hello everyone. Woke up to put my watch on this morning and the 4oclock hour marker was missing and had moved up to the 12 position. No drops or anything. The watch is 3 weeks old. Good thing I got it from an AD and they said they would replace the watch for me.
That’s great they’ll sort it out for you. I had a similar experience and the AD swapped the bad one for an identical new one on the spot. Still, it’s jarring to see something so symmetrical and beautiful marred and out of balance.
That's unnerving for even those of us who've not had the same issue with their BB58. I would hope they might do something extra on top of replacement to show good faith.
Maybe they use some kind of bad glue... Just this defect / accident IS one thing I am afraid will happen to some of my watches, some cloudy day... Brrrr!
But my over 30 years old "grail" or dream watches from Casio work still purrfect!
Search YouTube for "quality issues with Tudor Black Bay 58" Shocking amount of content for a brand with such a good reputation.
Forums are littered with worse quality control issues, mainly their “in house” Kenessi movements completely stopping. Though unlikely, if I buy another Tudor, it would be the ones with the ETA movement.
I had QC issues with my Tudor Ranger. Tudor definitely seems to make some duds, but they will fix watches under warranty. Buy from an AD if you get a Tudor.
So…that begs the question: what do you think the chances are the same thing will happen to my new Duro for which I paid $11.00 on discount? Yeah…probably zero. This happening to a watch that cost thousands is outrageous.
Hmm, I’ve read bad experiences from some owners, which makes me move away from pre-owned Tudors (BB, GMT, 41); if I finally decide to, I’ll get it from an AD & feel safer.
It is good that they’d replace rather than just repair.
Ouch
Wow well ok😬
I think someone else has had this problem on their Tudor and posted here

Wow! Glad the AD will replace it!!👍🏻 still kinda sucks though…
Not what you want to see. Pull out the crown to stop the movement and prevent anything worse from happening with the loose part in there.
Oof!

That's bad four-king luck, pleased you got it sorted.

I’ve seen multiple posts on various forums. Same problem.
