These watches are cool, but require too much effort to decode the time. If I can't figure out what time it is at a glance, I'm out.

just at first.. they make as much sense as classical hands , it's just another way.. my kids found it easier to read
Still easier to read than 90% of the skeletonized watches on the market, though maybe not at a flance. Love that cushion case on the Type 1 (and it's relative svelteness vs the other models).

I suppose it's like a regulator face, which is okay in principle. But it moves around, for no reason... and that certainly makes it harder to read than a regulator.
I dislike any "innovation" that puts form over function. I also dislike any innovation that solves a problem which had to be created first, specifically for that instance. Ressence watches do plenty of both but especially the latter. I am more into stuff like Ochs & Junior do.
I got excited when you posted this on WRUW 2 weeks ago. Glad to see the review. The Type 3 Ressence became my grail watch when I first saw it. Unfortunately, it’s priced outside of my value system for a wrist time telling device, so likely won’t go there. It doesn’t stop me from getting excited about it each time I see one, nor spending way too much time playing with the simulator on their web page. Thanks for sharing.
