HODINKEE conducts human experiments by planning to offer 10 used Rolexes at new Rolex prices, first to checkout wins

I say this all the time to my non watch people friends. I would never buy a Rolex (the hype is to much for me) but if you give it to me I wouldn't reject it. This offer is nice for all of the other offers but other than that Rolex "special" sounds ridiculous to me.

The concept of selling modern pre-owned at retail as something "special" is about as repulsive as selling pre-owned for over retail. Period. Oh, and who cares about Hodinkee anyway? Their content was rarely worthwhile, and even more rarely had no hidden agenda. If it ever didn't have an ulterior motive...

There are folks at HODINKEE that have produced great content over the years. Month by month, I’m realizing that I’m less their target audience. Part of that is from them shifting. Maybe part of it is from me shifting.

Let's see, sign up, download the app, subscribe to email, log into community to have a chance and "don't worry no bots 😂".  It's the lottery. It's almost as bad as very limited colab watches that get hyped by everyone except with only 10, you really have no shot.

Forgive my pessimism but I’m sure it’ll be grey market flippers that somehow manage to score all 10.  😑

Same here. I always wonder how long James Stacey will keep working for the 'Dink, he is so out of sync with the current corporate vibe
