I was hoping that someone would jump in here and give some suggestions.  Cool Vintage Watches is bookmarked but I have never bought from them.  I think that their prices are too close to retail.

I still do the antique stalls and estate sales mixed with occasional eBay purchase.  These are my local guys:  https://www.jventure.com/jewelry/watches  They have a small, but nice selection.  They do some repairs for me.

I made a video about it 😃. This is genuinly where I buy from ⌚👍.

Craft and Tailored, Kibble Watches, Those watch guys, Birth Year Watches and Watches83.

@Aurelian In regards to Cool Vintage Watches, let me tell you my Bro, I have caught so many misidentified movements or not enough details on the specs. They also carry to many expensive re-dials.

I watched the video weeks ago and then went to their websites.  I then realized that I should have been a sommelier, because I can't afford all that with the gig that I have.

As far as I know we’re a bit limited on options in Boston. Both of these do pre-owned and vintage.

I had a really good experience at Shreve, Crump & Low over the summer (just trying on new and vintage pieces - check out the sweet faded 16710 below), very professional staff and I plan to bring some old family pieces to be serviced there soon.

The other is European Watch Co. I’ve only ever looked at their selection online but they were highly recommended by several folks I’ve met over the years.

Both are on Newbury St. so you can make a day out of it!

A sommelier is really not that ideal😅, I usually come home very late entertaining the ones wearing their Sky-Dweller Everose Rolexes, Daytonas, Ballon de Cartier, Tudor chronographs, Breguets etc...🤣. Very true my Bro.

I do realize though that with experience, such as yours👌, e-bay is always a great place to buy. My Excelsior Park EP42 and Harwood watch were both e-bay purchases and I do not regret it 👍.

I just checked out https://www.jventure.com/jewelry/watches . Very nice variety of pieces! You're lucky to have them around 😃.
