Guuyyys, my screw pin just fell out while I was wearing my Zelos cuz I made a sharp movement 😭 It fell off my wrist and hit the ground and the movement isn't working anymore. I'd prefer to just bring it to a watch repair shop in Australia (it's where I live) rather then send it overseas. Do you guys reckon an average repair shop could fix the miyota miyoya movement?
I'm only starting to get into watches but my favourite part of the watches are the dials 😆
Most likely, miyotas aren't hard to get spare parts for 👍 But sucks that you dropped it, feel your pain and reluctance towards long repair and transport times. Never fun to part with a watch for longer periods 😭
I think I is quite a known movement. So don't worry toomuch, sh*t happens. A trained watchmaker will be able to repair it in no time 💪
Good luck!
Miyota movements are easy to service and most watchmakers would be able to take a look at the watch. Also, hack your watch so you don't damage anything more in the movement.
If you still have warranty, I would get in touch with Zelos and explain the situation. They may give you options to proceed. Or take it to a watchmaker, they can take a look at it for you.
^This. I'd definitely try contacting Elshan Tang first.
Something like a 9015 could be in range for a direct swap rather than a repair, depending on the rate of the watchmaker.
You might also want to check the rest of the screws and get some low-strength Loctite (222).
A trusted watchmaker can fix it without a problem.
I also second the loctite comment.
So, I heard back from Zelos, they say that a watch maker should be able to fix the movement here in Australia because it's a common movement. So I just gotta wait till next week to find and have the money to fix it. Thanks for the help guys 😊
