NWA! Baltic MR01 Salmon dial

Ever since Baltic announced the MR01 I've been drawn to the design... I skipped the first 500 numbered release because I wanted to see what others said about the quality etc.. then when they opened up preorders this past January I jumped in and placed my preorder. I have to say it's very well made, and very well finished! Even the movement looks great!

This is my second Baltic as you can see in the pictures. Both watches have a VERY uncanny Patek vibe to them and since I will never own the Pateks from the 40's I feel inspired these two designs I am happy to have these in my collection!

GREAT dial, but for me a very disappointing movement.  Still a good deal if you can still find one, though.

The movement is interesting, and honestly very clean and well finished for the price point. I feel it's better than the ST-19 that's used in their Bicompax. the case construction is superb too, way better than any other micro I have purchased to date. The strap while a consumable is actually really great quality.

The one I saw in person wasn't that well finished, and was quite dirty, unfortunately (maybe it was a QC issue).  I know that they had to cut costs somewhere, and was pleasantly surprised that they even HAD a micro-rotor movement akin to a Chopard 96, but it feels rather cheap on the wrist.  But that dial makes up for it in spades.
