Frohes Neues Jahr - Happy New Year !

I`m starting this year with a watch from the "Deutsche Uhrenfabrik" - "DUFA".

I have the model "Freitaucher". Freitaucher is the German word for "Apnea Diving".

What I asked myself directly with this title - what is the world record of an apnea diver? It is at a depth of just under 130 metres.

Accordingly, this watch would definitely satisfy any apnea diver with a WR of 150m.

What is immediately noticeable when you hold the watch in your hand - it is "sandblasted".
Visually, it gives it an even nicer look and on hands, the bracelet and case feel much better than "normal stainless steel".
It feels "warm" and yet solid. I like it very much!

Inside the watch runs a Miyota 9 series automatic movement.

The watch has a nice clasp and also comes with an extra strap.
The dial is very clean - typical for Bauhaus style and yet not too empty.
The blue highlights - also the colour of the date - pop out beautifully and skilfully and give the dial that certain something.

Thanks to the Miyota movement, the watch is beautifully flat and wears very comfortably - with a height of 12.5 mm.
It can be worn under the cuff or perfectly plain with a shirt / polo.
The diameter is 41 mm. In combination with the height of  12.5 mm, this is a really very nice size.

But let`s have a look at the supposedly negative aspects.

The size of the hands.

I mean - they fit the watch, but perhaps it would be even better if they were marginally thicker. However, I also think that this could ruin the clean look of the Bauhaus Style.

And the lume of the watch.

The hands and the 12 o'clock marker have lume - this is also appropriate.
But it's questionable whether even more lume on the watch wouldn't be even cooler.

But this is also very subjective - I personally never need the lume on my watches. When do I look at my watch when it is really dark - when there is so little light that I can't see anything?
So this would never be a pro/con for me.

Apart from these two aspects, the watch is just beautiful and has a great design and is very comfortable on the arm.
I can recommend it !
