Whilst the Swiss Watch houses and the giants of Japan may steal most of the headlines, there’s some seriously impressive watches coming out of Germany of equal (or some might say even better) quality.
Whether you’re into a pilot from the likes of Hanhart, Laco or Stowa, something a bit more bauhaus like Nomos or Junghans, an indestructible Sinn, or something more high end like A. Lange & Söhne there is something for all tastes and wallet sizes with Made in Germany on the dial.
To kick things off here’s a couple of Laco’s and my latest addition from Mühle Glashütte.
Which German watches do you have in your collection or would like to add in the future?
I only have one German watch, my Damasko DS30.
I've never been lucky enough to encounter a Damasko, but that one is right up my alley. Love it 🎯
Ich mag Sinn Uhren.
here is my nomos orion white in 35mm and with saphire caseback. it is my one and only dresswatch cause i usually prefer dive and toolwatches...
Glashutte Original SeaQ
Ich mag Sinn Uhren.
Very nice pair of Sinn's you have there 😍. Is that the 556i RS?
The 105st is a cool design too. I've been quite drawn to this and also the GMT variant which is quite eye catching. There's so many nice Sinn's to choose from it's hard to pick just one of them.
Love it. @gbelleh is rocking this on the bracelet and it looks just as good here on a leather strap. That red second hand really pops against the black dial in a way that some other brands don't quite pull off. Sinn really nails this! The more I see this, the more I want one 😍

Nomos are right up there in my book. I know some people aren't huge fans of the bauhaus aesthetics but there's just something about the clean crisp dials that I love. I don't have anything like this in my collection yet, but Nomos are definitely on my wish list.
Great watch. Congratulations!
My most worn watch as I use it for work. Only has a rest for the weekend
Glashutte Original SeaQ
Wow! Now that's really upping the ante. What a great piece!
When you're talking German watches they don't come much better than Glashutte Original, especially in the history stakes. I'm not sure I'll be lucky enough to have one of these in my collection but I'm happy to admire them from afar. Where's that home run emoji?

This is definitely one of my favourite Sinn's and I have the blue dial version on my current wishlist. As far as flieger chronographs go, I can't think of many better than this when it comes to value for money. It ticks so many boxes!
Killer watch, congratulations 🎯
Very much a gimmick at the time, but here is the Junghans Millennium Countdown watch. Still in full working condition.
My, soon to be 10 years old, Laco Rostock
Love German watches both new and vintage...here are a few of the modern ones from the collection...
