the cusions have side rails, so they can;t move in the box - the watches are fastened aroudn the cusion obviosuly, and there's plenty of clear space between the front and back. My photos are not great, but on the one I'm holding the cusjion, you can see the rails.
Oh dear - there's always a few of those. If someone has bought a homage, and loves it, who the fuck are we to disagree. If anyone comes to a meetup to look down their nose at other peoples choices, they shoudl stay home - they can flex on Instagram, without bothering the rest of us :D
Easy enough - if it has the brand name, but its not made by that company, it;s a fake. If it just looks like another watch, but doesnt purport to be that watch, it's an homage.
'Homages' can be fun though, I saw a great one in a street market in Asia - vidually, a Rolex Explorer, but the dial printed logo was a different crown, and instead of Rolex, the brand name read 'Fake'. Likewise, they had engraved the rehaut with the work 'fake' repeated all the way round. finally, the lower lettering read "not a chronometer, officially uncertified" Inside, it was a Seiko automatic, so actually not a bad watch for $60sg :D
So, provided the fakes are 'honest' fakes (or Homages 😄 ), I'm up for it
have it repalced if you are unhappy with the wear. that said, most straps need a bit of TLC, even from 'new'. A new strap can have spent upwards of 2 years between manufacture and you pulling it out of the box. In that time, it's been in a dehumified environment, probably sharing a box with a packet of silica gel - it will be dry as a bone and prone to damage from first use..
I use this https://uk.saphir.com/products/creme-universelle
It keeps them supple, and minimises any wear. Also worht using a leather cleaner from time to time.
