New Bamford x Landrover - not getting the vibe....

On the upside - titanium, nice eco straps, fixed lugs, nice SW200 auto, little Bamford blue LR logo above 6'o'clock.

Downside - I don't see the Land Rover design language, and it's VERY grey :D. fixe dlugs could be an issue if not cut back to allow the strap to sit neatly.  £1350.

You can still get one if you want, I think...

I think that they were trying more to get the idea of the defender in the watch than the actual design. I feel that Using a car design langue for a watch wouldn’t work out well for it may turn out more gimicky or may not even come across at all. very nice watch though. which then explains the titanium case and sellita movement built to last

Gives me Unimatic vibes.

I'll wait for the San Martin. 🤣

Came here to say this. Wouldn’t be shocked if they share some vendors.

Maybe if you pull the crown it set the watch into low gear mode?

I'm usually indifferent to collabs/special editions/save the whatever series and this watch is a good example of showing why.

·

I think it is a good looking watch despite the Collab. Could not feed of the Land Rover name and get under 1000 in price for SW200 and titanium sandblasted case and be a hit.

Not a really a Bamford fan or Landrover fan, so loving this thing isn't my first thought.

It's other features: fixed lugs, boring colorway, no date... (a sense of relief is washing over me) , I feel no sense of angst about missing out on this one!  Yay! 😀

Maybe the Land Rover aspect is that it's designed to fall apart in 6 months?

I don’t know? This is different and attractive but Sellita is often a deal breaker for me. I just do not trust the SW-200 since I had one mess up bad to the point that the rotor broke. Even Brietling using this movement causes me to pause and yes, I know they message their outside movements in essence blueprinting them, to borrow an automotive term. 👎🤨

True - I have a Defender. You think you are becoming a landrover owner, but really, you're becoming a landrover mechanic 😀
