Absolutely. Innovation in movements while also being a supplier to many other brands we love vs. artisan dials. Though this dial would make GS proud.

That dial is a beaut! To me Horage falls in the same vein as Formex regarding my desire to own one. I'm a big fan of the brands, but their overall designs only align about 75-80% with my personal tastes. Following both closely, because if they release a model that's more up my alley I'll definitely start budgeting.

I hope that Horage starts appearing on more people's radar. Their tech puts Kurono to shame.

No disrespect intended, but could someone explain why Kurono is so popular? I guess it's the dials. Out of curiosity, I looked at their website. Their top high end is only being sold in a salon in Tokyo? And the dial makes it almost impossible to tell the time. And their movement is a Miyota 9039 equivalent? So I don't get it, why are they so expensive and revered?

Just can't get past the awful name. As an ignorant native English speaker what probably comes across as a classy European portmanteau, for me i can't help but think " porridge " or "Horace" . 🤯😂

It is a fair question. The owner, Hajime Asaoka, makes exceptionally high end watches. Kurono is his way to make his work more accessible. Traditionally, their watches drop in a batch release format, usually for 10 minutes, or until sold out of an X# size run. I’d wager most folks buy the pieces that way. I acquired mine a couple years ago that way and it was about $1600 for a traditional three hander.

I have seen quite a few Horage watches, I didn't like any. 😕

Thanks. But still it doesn't explain. I get the high end watches. But these are the "budget" options. Different watches so it should be different value. Maybe it needs to be worn to understand?
