I feel like they are in different category : Vero makes a quartz at $285, a quartz chrono at $425 and an automatic (SW200) at $875... On the other hand Weiss seems to have only one model in two sizes starting at $2000 ! Am I missing something here?

I voted Vero for the design of their chrono (without much conviction though 😅)

Woof, this is very apples and oranges. Do you penalize Vero because their watches are more affordable or do you penalize Weiss because of the (low) breadth of the offering?

I chose Weiss because the watches are "nicer" but have completely chosen other brands in this tournament because of wider more affordable collections.

You're making me a hypocrite!

This one was tough, partly because of the extreme price difference, and partly because of the dirth of information on the Weiss site. I could find no mention at all in a quick tour of their site of the movement other then "every movement is selected by Weiss". So, selected from? A nearby dumpster? A guy Times Square selling them from the trunk of his '88 Yugo? Who knows? I'm guessing in-house, but hard to be sure. In spite of my complaints, I've heard of Weiss before and like their designs and know their quality is excellent so I voted accordingly. Vero seems a bit insipid.

I am a die hard Weiss fan and own two of them, they will get my vote at every stage of this tournament.

It's sad that Vero gets so little respect. Their 10 yr warranty is the best I've seen from any brand.

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Weiss.

And here is why I find this whole exercise just pointless… if you try and separate chalk and cheese via taste or via suitability as a founding strata it’s going to yield different results each time.

Vero. I think it's because of the legibility of the hands/dial.
