I hope Dirk is going to see this.

A. Dornblüth & Sohn - just loving their classic designs with few complications. Especially this Calibre 99.9

Mixed feelings about Lundis - seems like one model with countless dial options, but overall is meh :(

Did not know either watch brands so going to there websites was my first experience with both. It is crazy how a good/bad website can influence your first impression of a brand. And we all know, we only got one chance to make a good impression. The D&S site for instance is quite dated in his overall feel and does not at all give me a feeling of luxury...from there it takes effort to win meback, but they did 🙂

No online shop and no price displayed on their website really is a deal breaker for me... Especially when they have only 6 retailers worldwide 😕

It's a shame because they have some really nice classic designs with amazing twists I have never seen before, like that hidden power reserve in the 12 :

It does feel like it's really expensive 😅 Anyone knows the prices?

Edit : well Lundis Bleus doesn't have an online shop either, but at least the prices are displayed and it's a one-man-artisanal brand so it's more understandable imho

Like a lot of small brands, distribution can be tough. They distribute in the US using WatchBuys.

Prices start around $4-5k (Last I checked) and can go up from there depending on customization.

You bastard, cb, you're making these choices too difficult! I like both of these, though I'd never heard of Lundis Bleus before. They make some gorgeous dials, but it seems they've forgotten the rest of the watch. Their website doesn't help much, though that shouldn't affect my choice. I went with Dornbluth as I've always liked their classic designs.
